Chicago is world famous for its architecture, so during my recent first visit, I was very excited to have the opportunity to photograph some of its landmark buildings. It turned out to be an education in architectural design, and the fascinating history of the city which started with the Chicago River.
View of the Chicago River looking West, from the Michigan Avenue Bridge
Michigan Avenue looking North, towards “The Magnificent Mile”, a district lined with shops, restaurants, and hotels.
The Wells Street Bridge looking East in the late afternoon.
View of the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) from the South Branch of the Chicago River
The Cloud Gate, more commonly known as “The Bean”, Millennium Park, Chicago.
View of the Chicago Skyline from the Adler Planetarium.
More posts to come, from my recent trip to Chicago.
