Today’s Wanderlust Wednesday Image:
Torres Del Paine
Geography:
Parque Nacional Torres del Paine (Torres del Paine National Park)
is located in the spectacular Patagonia region of Southern Chile.
Coordinates: 50.9423º S, 73.4068º W
Area: 700 sq miles (1813 sq km)
Highest point:  is Paine Grande,  at an elevation of 9,462 ft (2,884 m)
These granite monoliths rise to 2800 meters (9184 ft.) and are a favorite spot for climbers. The park, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve, is also ideal for trekking. You can see glaciers, listen to the thunder they make when they calve, and the sound of the ice clinking together, much like the sound two crystal glasses make when they meet for a toast.Â
